Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy blurs the line
between the good and bad
it makes the person a hypocrite
who knows hypocrisy well

They deceive themselves
making mischief as fun
they make light of the solemn
for all are playful jokes

Their motives may differ
but they use similar words
putting trust in earnest
can cause painful hurt

Their hand is tight-fisted
wielding or craving power
over others who are weak
no rebuke turns them around
for they've lost all decency.
